NOTICE OF SOLICITATION OF CANDIDATES – TOWN OF FELTON 2021 COUNCIL ELECTION

There are two (2) Council Positions Available each having a three (3) year term. To be qualified to run for Felton Town Council you must:
be 21 years of age, be a citizen of the United States, have been a bona fide resident of the Town of Felton for one year prior to election day and have never been convicted of a felony or crime of moral turpitude.

To declare candidacy submit a signed and dated letter requesting that your name be added to the 2021 Council Election ballot with a Town of Felton Affidavit of Qualification Candidate Filing Form (available at Town Hall, by mail, fax or email) and State Campaign Finance Certification of Intention Form Campaign Finance Form(also available at Town Hall or online at www.elections.delaware.gov).

Filing Deadline is January 15, 2021
All letters of candidacy must be received at Felton Town Hall by 4pm.
(Postmarks are NOT accepted.)
Felton Town Hall is Open Monday thru Friday 8am-4pm.

MAYOR UP-DATE

Mayor David Kelley has resigned his Council Seat with the Town of Felton after 27 years of service. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Mayor for his many dedicated years of service to our community. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.

We are pleased to announce that Joanne Clendaniel has been selected to be the new Mayor for the Town of Felton. Joanne has been on Council for 14 years. We look forward to her leadership going forward in the Town of Felton.

2018 COUNCIL ELECTION NOTIFICATION

The Town of Felton will NOT be having a Council Election in 2018. There were two council seats open for election and two incumbent Council Members filed for those seats; therefore no election is needed. The following incumbents filed for the two seats and will be sworn in at the March 12, 2018 Council Meeting. Anthony Carroll and David Kelley
